Beer Highlights
Our favorite beers from our classic lineup!
LA 31 SWAMP THING IPA
Swamp Thing is a hoppy, citrusy and hazy IPA made with only the finest Pilsner malt and a blend of hops that include Mosaic, Citra, and Chinook. It’s fermented with an ale yeast that allows these flavors to shine- but you best leave it to us to collect the magic ingredients for this beast of a brew. As folks around here know, you sure can get lost in the Louisiana bayou.
LA 31 ACADIE
Acadie is an amber colored, light- bodied farmhouse ale with tangerine-like hop aroma and a soft sweet malt flavor and mellow bitterness. Crafted with malts from European farms, German Saphir hops, and raw Louisiana cane sugar, Acadie offers complex flavors that tapers off to a dry finish. Pair this brew with most any cuisine and you’ll experience it’s uncanny ability to bring contrasting flavors together from pickled okra and fresh garden tomatoes to a nice hogshead cheese and cutting board layered with tasso and andouille.
LA 31 NOIRE
Bière Noire is a dark French Saison featuring specially roasted dark malt with chocolate notes, fine European barley and wheat, and select noble hops that lend a small bite of bitterness and a dry, French-roasted coffee flavor- 20 IBU and 5.4% ABV. Enjoy it with grilled steaks, hamburgers, or sausage po-boys, any spicy blackened Cajun dish, or simply around a dinner table in the company of those you cherish most.
LA 31 BIERE PALE ALE
Bière Pâle combines Belgian-style malts and an ample blend of East Kent Golding and Mosaic hops. It’s a bronze-colored pour with a biscuit malt center, fruity, earthy, and citrusy hop flavors and a gentle bitterness. But enough technical talk. Just remember that when the food in front of you makes your mouth water, be sure there’s plenty of cold Bière Pâle on hand
COCODRIE DDH IPA
Cocodrie is Cajun-French for alligator and this Belgian/New England style IPA is stuffed with enough hops to stand up to a sauce piquant prepared with one. Our double-dry hopped IPA combines the unique fruit and spicy esters of a Belgian yeast with the hazy citrus flavors of a hoppy New England IPA
Cinco De Bayou
Cinco De Bayou is a delightfully crisp, light-straw colored brew capped with a lacy white head. Well-balanced, deceptively complex, yet simple in finish; this is a Mexican-style lager you’ll enjoy either with or without a slice of lime. A large percentage of flaked corn contributes to a slight sweetness balanced with a clean finish to help you cool down from the nine month long Louisiana summer.
TART SIDE OF THE TECHE SOUR
Tart Side of the Teche is Bayou Teche Brewing’s seasonal release series of sour farmhouse ales. These small, hand-crafted batches are packaged in 4-pack 12oz. bottles and 1/6 barrel kegs. Throughout the year Bayou Teche Brewing will release these tart and refreshing beers with varieties such as drop-hopped sour ale, sour strawberry ale, peach and apricot gose, and sour ale brewed with cherries.
GIANT HOP DOUBLE IPA
Double IPA, unfiltered, Citra, Chinook, Amarillo, and Cascade Hops, Vienna, 8.5% ABV.
TECHETICLES TRIPLE IPA
LA 31 Techeticles – Triple IPA, Unfiltered, 120 IBU, Cascade, Simcoe and El Dorado Hops, Pilsner, 12% ABV.
BIERE JOIE IMPERIAL STOUT
In Louisiana, Lagniappe means “a little something extra.” Take an over-the-top Russian imperial stout, add a fat capitalist’s unearned share of locally roasted artisanal coffee, then throw in a Kremlin’s weight of chocolate- you’ve got a bottle of lagniappe comrade.
MIEL SAVAGE
Honey Beer made w/ Bernard’s Honey from Henderson, LA and aged in French Sauvignon Blanc barrels. 9% ABV 25 IBU’s. The floral tones of the honey and fruit and vanilla tones from the wine barrels compliment the bready malt character to make this a truly unique beer.
LOUP GAROU STOUT
Loup Garou is the Cajun-French phrase for a werewolf and is also Bayou Teche Brewing’s limited edition, Belgian inspired imperial stout. Crafted with an insane amount of chocolate roasted Belgian malts, brown sugars and french hops, our stout is then aged on oak for several months. Loup Garou is just around 8% ABV and will be released in 22oz. Belgian-style bottles and a very limited number of kegs.
Tiki Drinks
“When you enter the Cajun Saucer realm, you’re also walking into the world of tiki. This ain’t your Carnival Cruise Line tiki – you’ll find no neon hued beverages here. The bar is lined with glasses of grinning totems, garden fresh herbs and kitsch garnishes. Avery the bar manager takes the tiki craft very seriously. When you tell him you love your Mai Tai, and you will love this Mai Tai, he gives an earnest and triumphant ‘hell yes.’ It’s a cocktail menu made for celebration and the endless southern summers: zombies, banana daiquiris and blazing scorpion bowls with 20-inch straws.”
